A smuggler arrested with 11 boxes of English liquor

Ranipokhari. Ranipokhari police station has arrested a liquor smuggler during checking. Police has recovered 11 boxes of liquor from his possession. Police has also seized a car used in liquor smuggling. Police has started further action in the case after registering a case.

Ranipokhari police station in-charge Sandeep Kumar said that the police was checking near Bhogpur today. During this, the police signaled a suspicious car to stop for checking. Seeing the police, the driver of the car got down and started running. On suspicion, the police chased the driver for some distance and then stopped him. On searching the car, the police recovered liquor from inside. On interrogation, the driver was identified as Sumit Ramola, resident of Narendra Nagar. The accused has confessed to the crime of liquor smuggling. The police has started its investigation to find out from where to where the liquor was to be supplied. At present, a case has been registered against the accused. The car has also been seized.
